TRULY, TRULY, I SAY TO YOU, HE WHO HEARS
MY WORK AND BELIEVES HIM WHO SENT ME, HAS ETERNAL LlFE...ISAIAH

A funny
thing happened to me at the meeting Tuesday. I thought I'd share
this with you. As we all know, Madame President has some health
problems. The latest, the doc told her she had a screw loose
in her neck. I tried to pay attention while she conducted the
meeting Tuesday, but these disturbing thoughts kept creeping
into my mind, loose screw in neck-head rotating on shoulders.
It reminds me of that movie with Linda Blair, the girl who was
unfortunately possessed by the devil. We might need Father Strittmatter
to come to our meeting and perform an in-house exorcism. Hey
Frank! What a program that would make. Sorry Joyce, the devil
made me do it.
We received a letter of thank you from
Jim Cupito. He enjoys all your calls, and cards. Hopefully he
will be able to make next week's meeting. Tuesday he was at the
hospital having a kidney test before entering into a clinical
program. Several Kiwanians reported seeing him walking, and he
really looks good. Dick Mather has recovered from his bout with
pneum6nia. Ron Forte is sporting a sling on his arm.
We want to thank Jack Kahny and the Yearbook
Committee for the wonderful job on this years project. One mistake
that we found is Frank St. Charles address has changed for the
better. He moved back to the good side of town. His new address
is 3l3OWerk Rd. #11 and the phone number is 661-9554.
Dan, you remember him. The Kippster called
and said not to worry he was returning home in a few weeks and
will straighten all you Kiwanians out.
Holy Family Pantry sent a thank you note
to let you know that they are grateful for our help.
Bill Bigner's message to all of us is-when
was the last time you asked someone to join Kiwanis?
Before you know it our one and only fund-raiser
will be here. The Rose Bloom Boom has grown into a very profitable
venture. Thanks goes to Russ, Jane and all the members and committee
who work so hard selling tickets and planning the event. Next
week's program will be "How To Sell Tickets And Corporate
Sponsorships". Test your salesmanship and join the crew
who are working hard to provide funds for the charities we sponsor.
Tom White's big night at Music Hall will
be coming up Sunday, March 14th 7:00 to 9:00. "The Sounds
For Hope" will benefit three city missions.
The program for the week was Nick Vehr
and his dream to have the 2012 Olympics here in the Queen City.
Till Next Time
