Spring is in the air. And the smell of
roses is all around us, or should I say the smell of the Rose
Bloom Boom. More on that later.
Our meeting opened with the invocation
by Jim Cupito. Jim was back looking and he says feeling good.
Jim had a cancerous brain tumor, less the then a half inch big,
95% removed. The remaining tumor will be treated with a experimental
drug, hoping to put the cancer into remission. After several
months, Jim will be treated with the traditional chemotherapy.
Jim is still sleeping and eating fine, which is good news for
all the restaurants in the Western Hills area. Also, Jim thanks
everyone for the thoughts and prayers.
Another member of the Kiwanis family sick
list is the wife of Howard Zoellner Roseanne was bumped while
walking down the steps at the Cincinnati Gardens while attending
a Xavier University basketball game. She suffered a broken foot
and ankle.

them if I was able to write a little faster. What I do know is
our guest Dave Ruther won the split-the-pot We also sang happy
Birthday to Tim Hornsby, and sang When the Saints Go Marching
In and Smile.

today. Robert Rinear gave us all a little history of the event.

to sell to benefit the event. The goal this year is to sell22
sponsors.
