Our post-op president Joyce opened today's
meeting to a full house and turned it over to Tom White for the
invocation. Tom's Lenten message was the often quoted Jesus plea;
"Father, let this cup pass, but Thy will be done",
in this way accepting His decision to let Jesus's mission on
earth be completed. Tommie left us with the thought that "God
will make a way for us to attain Eternal Life with Him."
Guests today: Tom Riggs of W. H. Windows,
Mary George Becker, Kelly Hartman introduced respectively by
Tom Reuter, Scott Becker and Carol Sohmer.
Sick List headed by our president Joyce,
who is recovering from neck surgery last Thursday; Carol Sohmer
reported that Dick Mather would welcome visitors in his suite
at Christ Hospital. Lou's current problem was completely ignored
by his unsympathetic wife. Dick Bucher, Sr. is having minor knee
surgery. We wish him well.
Cliff Franklin noted that the Kiwanis Foundation
meeting has been moved to April 2Oth at 11am. (here) and all

Tom White for his presentation at last week's Kiwanis joint Lenten
breakfast at Twin Towers and solicited a group of seven to attend
this week's service. Good Job Cliff in spreading the word about
the correct way to vocalise our National Pledge of Allegiance.

not yet bought or picked up Rose Bloom Boom tickets. She also
praised the work of Tom Reiring and his youth activities.
Tom Reuter candidate for Director is soliciting
luggage of all descriptions for (I believe) the Northside Club.

for money on the return trip. Russ Puckett urged all who sold

It is said: "The tongue is a rope
by which many hang themselves" - I hope this does not apply
to my pen.
