PRICE HILL / WESTERN HILLS KIWANIS BULLETIN - August 29, 2000

Yum Yum! Looking in my crystal ball I see, yes a table full of tasty morsels. Can the future of our Kiwanis luncheon be fresh, healthy and appetizing. Food? Maybe yes. Maybe no. We are getting a new caterer and I'm sure we are in for some improvements. Of course we have said that many times before. Hey! It's just food. Life goes on.

Tom White is on vacation and I never heard our singing voices, how shall I put it off key.

Yes one and all, come tot he country and enjoy a tour of beautiful Home & Garden's "The Old Farm House." Don Blum is opening his lovely refurbished home for a board meeting on September 13th. According to Tim Hornsby, this place is incredible. So make plans to attend on September 13th, Aston Oaks on Shady Lane. Directions forth coming.

Loose is asking all members to attend next week's meeting. A mystery member is getting special recognition. So try to make an effort to attend.

Gene Simpkins and Henrietta the brown hen are working together again. Henrietta laying the eggs and Gene delivering. One dozen brown eggs go to Tony, our ever faithful and prestigious leader.

Father Jim is in the hospital. Thoughts and prayers are with him and his family.

Paul Klatte's mother has passed. She almost made it to that 100th birthday. Our sympathy to the family.

The king of the road, Earl Oaks, reluctantly took split the pot money.

Bill Bigner is collecting clothing for St. Michael's. They have a special need for bedding, especially blankets.

H. A. want to thank Kiwanis for sponsoring a foursome at Santa Maria's Golf Outing. The event was successful.

There wasn't a speaker this week. Next week David Wecker will be the speaker.

Since there is plenty of room left here's some more trivia:

How are a Texas tornado and a Tennessee divorce the same?

Somebody's gonna lose a trailer.

What's the difference between roast beef and pea soup?

Anyone can roast beef.

Here's one for you ladies and just the way I feel.

My idea of housework is to sweep the room with a glance.

Enough!!!!!!!!!!!!

Till next time . . . . . Lois L. Lane
