Paul Hogue called the meeting to order
in the absence of Frank St. Charles.
This week we started a little different
with the guests being first. They were from Cinti Human Relations
Commission with Back on the Block Program.
Paul announced that we need volunteers
for the Salvation Army Kettle Brigade for four Saturdays. We
need 30 volunteers for the period. Call John Nordmeyer to sign
up or check at next meeting for available times. John also announced
that Jerry Roth mother passed away.
Steve Newsome announced the Action Club
is having Halloween party on Nov 6th. We are making Interclub
of it so get into costume and come to the meeting. We sponsor
this club so we need to be visible. Meet at hospital 6th floor
off elevator to the right down then hall look for the costumes.
Jane Reuter in the roll of Membership Chair
has asked the sponsors of missing members to try and get them
back or to determine if they are no longer able to attend the
functions of Kiwanis. To that end here are the members that
have been called but have not responded. Please, if you sponsored
one of these members please see if you can contact them. Tom
Bruening, Tim Dressman, John Elias, Denise Grause, Rhonda Huber,
Karen Kahny, Bob Plagge, Gary Rothenbusch, Wes Reynolds, Chuck
Cole, Brian Sweeney, Nancy Ziegler, Jim Schwartz. Please let

Tom Reuter asks that you get your dues
in, as they were due on The 1st of October. Earl O. will be
sending follow up bills for those who have not paid by the 31st
of October. (Earl it's in the mail)
Ed Flick reported that the golf outing
held by T.J.'s Lounge on behalf of Gill Faigle netted the Kiwanis
$1055. Great job next year will be better.
Tony Proffitt reports that Bill Schaefer
Pres. of International Kiwanis called him at home to congratulate
us on our help with the van for St. Michaels. Banner patches
for recruitment and the IDE program. Tony also presented Gary
Becker with his money and golf club due since well no matter
it done.
Greg Hartlaub collected eight boxes of
cereal this week. So along with bags cereal now is in order.
Bring bags or Cheerios Tuesday.
Glad hands then went to 2001 Calendars
to Ed Flick and JoAnn Kahle with split the spot to Ron Forte'.
Sing along followed with Happy Birthday to Bill Seitz. Then
Edgar decided On Top of Old Smokey would be good in place of
a good Halloween song. Then closed with SMILE.
A good meeting folks, nice groups with
the tables separated, meal was great; please take the time to
come to the meetings. It's only a couple hours out of the week
and your attendance can make a difference. So see you on Tuesday
