PRICE HILL / WESTERN HILLS KIWANIS BULLETIN - January 2, 2001

Therefore, if any one is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away, behold, the new has come. II Cor. 5117

Good tidings good cheer and all that stuff, for the new year and all the new years to come.

I think that some of us forgot Tuesday was not Monday. If you know what I mean. It was a very sparse crowd. Maybe it's the snowbirds causing this deficiency. Migrating is becoming more popular every year. Speaking of snowbirds, Dan and Esther have threatened to return in six weeks or so.

Tina, someone is spreading a rumor about you. A very special birthday is coming up. We all miss you and we hope that this birthday will be one heck of a good time. Tom Reuter and Tim Dressman also have birthdays this month.

Edgar reported that Fr. Jim is currently on a retreat. He is still suffering with his hip which more than likely will require surgery very soon. Hopefully you caught a recent article printed in the Enquirer about Father. He has surely touched many lives and many souls. Roseanne Zoellner is doing better and recovering at a good pace.

Guardian angels are on highway duty this season. H.A. told us of a bizarre accident involving his in-laws and sons. The circumstances could have been very serious but by the grace of God we can again say thank you Jesus.

John Normeyer is still waiting for a total on the Salvation Army Kettle.

The board meeting will be advanced from January 10th to January 17th. Many of our core members will be on a cruise. You know the ones, packed and ready for "fun in the sun" gang.

Bob Rinear has been given the honor of being chosen for one of ten of the most caring people in the Price Hill area. If you have any doubts, just ask Carol.

Thank yous were received from Santa Maria & Oyler School for the Christmas presents and food received.

Next week we need to concentrate on having a huge attendance. Craig Hackenberry and Tom Reiring are having a special presentation.

Our guest speaker was Paul Raterman. Paul is an attorney and is taking Bill Seitz's Trustee position for Green Township. He told us that plans are being considered for development of a park behind Green Township library. Running paths and soccer fields on North Bend Road are being planned or considered. Amen.

Words to live by for the year 2001 . . . .

Don't sweat the petty things and don't pet the sweaty things.

Atheism is a non-prophet organization.

Till Next Time . . . Lois Lane
