PRICE HILL / WESTERN HILLS KIWANIS BULLETIN - March 13, 2001

Paul Hogue called the meeting to order as Frank St Charles is having a problem seeing. It seems that to see better Frank is going to have his eyelids sewn shut. Uhhh does this mean like you could see better through your Eyelids shut than with them open? Well Duhh! I'm just joshing. Frank's Drs are trying to fix him up and he needs to rest his eye for several weeks so, sew them shut. We all wish you a speedy recovery!

So, Paul called the meeting to order and as usual the singing and pledge was superb as was HA's Lenten reading and commentary very meaty and food for thought as to the meaning of sacrifice.

Carol introduced Linda Preston a guest and applicant for membership. For those who don't know Linda has already been very active with help to the club prior to becoming a member. Thanks Carol. Earl then introduced Brian Kinne as his guest then said he would later be the program in place of our regularly scheduled event.

Tom Riggs has Knee surgery on 3/14/01 so keep him in your prays for a good recovery.

Paul then gave some recognition to members who while not at the meetings are helping to obtain Corporate Sponsorships for RBB. Dick Bucher Jr.-Corkin Steel, Wes Reynolds-Fifth Third Bank, Scott Becker-Maury's Tiny Cove and Paul Hogue-Catholic Order of Foresters. Pick up the letters for sponsor ships and mail them to your Christmas list. You just may get a great response! Remember the Corp Sponsor get a recognition in the Press ad for RBB. If you have an idea for sponsor but no time to call give it to Paul he'll call!!!

Dan Kipp introduced IRT Individual Recognition Time. This is a pat on the back from Dan, sort of an ATTA BOY. This week it's Bill Bigner who over the last 21 years has sold 630 Rose Bloom Boom Tickets. His secret, His wife's Christmas list mail the letters and they will come!

Gary Becker asks to keep an eye out for things for the silent auction. Maybe something in your attic or a great bargain at the shopping center call Gary with the GOODS!

Gary Becker also reminds there is a Past Presidents Committee Meeting at his home on Thursday 3/22/01.

Well I think I covered it all if not, it's because I ran out of tape and had to remember what was said.
