PRICE HILL / WESTERN HILLS KIWANIS BULLETIN - April 17, 2001

President Frank opened the meeting and Tom White gave the invocation.

Golfers interested in participating in the Kiwanis Annual Terry Murdock Golf Outing -- it is May 21st at Hidden Valley Lake Golf Club. They are also looking for hole sponsors at $50.00 per hole.

Thanks to Lou Schroeder for a sign for the outside of meeting room building to identify the day, time and location of our weekly meetings. Lou Schroeder hopes to get permission from owners of meeting room to post it soon.

It was good to see Steve Schenkel and Earl Oaks back with us and guests Shelly Quick and Steve Connor. Our club state representative Bill Seitz also was with us. Bill gave a brief up date on happenings on a state level. He says their normal sessions are on Tuesdays and Wednesdays so he has trouble making our noon Tuesdays.

Dan Kipp had Margaret Fritz as his guest. They worked on getting the van.

While on the subject of guests you must tell us at the front desk when you bring a guest.

The report on Fr. Jim Willig is that all treatment is stopped. Please keep Fr. Jim in your prayers; remember, miracles can still happen.

Tom Bruening reports that his daughter has undergone her sixth treatment for cancer.
Please remember all our ailing Kiwanis family in your prayers.

Four weeks to go until the Rose Bloom boom. There are 308 tickets out but only 120 returned. Next week is the Early Bird drawing so get returns in now. We still need silent auction items and Gary Becker made and appeal for responses from last years contributors. Notify them now, or contact some new people to make contributions!
Paul Hogue says April 24th is the deadline for corporate sponsors. A big thank you to Wes Reynolds and 5th/3rd for the sponsorship of the back page of the news insert!

Glad Hands were awarded to JoAnn and Lou. Bob Rinear won Split-the-Pot.

Happy Birthday was sung to Tom Bruening, John Nordmeyer and Tom Reiring.

Our guest speaker was Jim Breech, one of the Bengal's most successful kickers.

Till next week . . . KTRBBRC!
(Keep Those Rose Bloom Boom Returns Coming)
