We had a lovely invocation by a very hungry
John Nordmeyer.
Guests: Jim Curtley (a guest of Frank St.
Charles) He also shared an announcement concerning gumball machines
as a fundraiser. The Prez thinks it is a great idea.
Thanks to Lou Schroeder for the sign outside
(and thanks to Bill Bigner for help with installing it). It
looks great guys.
Sick List: Father Jim is finished with
his book, Lessons from the School of Blessing. His cancer has
not increased any more as of this time. Keep him in your prayers.

help.

Gus "ACE hole in one" Becker
still needs items for the silent auction. There will be a meeting
at his house Thursday May 10th at 7pm.
Our Second VP Carol Sohmer introduced our
speaker for Today, an Oak Hills Foreign Exchange Student - Julietta
Nellie. She is from Brazil. She has been living here in the
U.S. for 8 months. The first family that she lived with had
some conflicts so she has been with a new family since Nov. 24th,
2001. She did not know anyone when she came here. She was scared.
Now she loves it. The main difference she shared between our
two countries is that more people in her country live in apartments
(though they are the size of houses). The school system is also
harder in her country. Her mom is a Portuguese teacher and her
dad is an engineer. She shared openly about her experiences
and responded to many questions from the club members.
God Bless all of you.
Scott R. See, Captain (I was promoted yesterday!)
