Invocation by Zita Franklin
Sick List - Father Willig - not pursuing further treatment. He is still sharing homilies at Mass.
Tom Reuter - Please keep him in your prayers. He is waiting to discover the prognosis of his latest biopsy. His next trip to Cleveland Clinic is scheduled for the 29th.Guests - Pat Weurster and Steve Bruening, guests of Thomas Bruening (other guests include staff and students from Elder, Mother of Mercy, Seton, and Western Hills High School).
Rose Bloom Boom is tomorrow night. Set up begins at The Farm at 11:00 am. All are Welcome to help.
Jane Reuter demonstrated that our club does have class. She passed on a "rose" pin to Sandy Flick for her work on the Rose Bloom Boom. (Jane wore the pin herself when she used to chair the event.) Thank you Jane.
John Nordmeyer also gave Sandy a Rose. Not because he is in love with her but because she passed out a rose to a different club member each week for selling RBB tickets.
Pres. Frank St. Charles requested for somebody to relieve Earl Ostertag of one of his numerous responsibilities in the club. He is requesting for someone to head up the Bulletin Committee. There are writers, they just need some guidance. (boy that sounds like a put-down to us writers - but it's not). The person to head this committee simply needs to make sure that one of the writers will be at the meeting each week to write the bulletin. (Once the bulletin is written it needs to be sent to cathy@kahny.com , if she receives it by Wed. 12:00, it will be out by Thurs. at 5. In at Thurs. 12:00, out by Friday 5. Any questions?
Saturday May 19th from 12-4pm come help out at Krogers in Delhi. There will be a stand selling safety helmets to be worn while biking. This is in cooperation with Children's Hospital.
The program today was introduced by 2nd VP Carol Sohmer, who introduced us to Tom Reiring, who invited Cliff Franklin to speak, who then introduced Mrs. Trouth, to hand out various Lee Trouth Music Awards for the amount of $250.00. The awards went to two highly qualified musicians. One award went to Josh from Western Hills. He is in the Jazz Band and National Honor Society (NHS). The second award went to an Elder student - Brad Bruening (grandson of Thomas from our club). He is also a talented musician and plans on attending UC to study Mechanical Engineering. His instrument of choice is the SAX.
The next awards given out were to recognize the memory of Rudy Jacobs. They were given out as follows:
