Calling your fellow Kiwanian members to remind them it's time to rejoin the Tuesday meeting, must have worked. We had a fairly large group of members in attendance. I have to admit I didn't make my phone calls. My mother always told me not to call men. So I sat in anticipation by my princess phone waiting for the upstairs and the downstairs men in the yearbook to call. The story of my life, no one called. This week I'll try harder. Seriously, these phone calls are important to the survival of the club.
We had a few guests including an inter-club.
Dan Kipp asked for prayers while he awaits the diagnosis on the test he underwent. Considerate it done Dan. Keep Tom Reuter in mind too.
It's that time of year to say good-bye to our president and thank him for a job well done. Frank St. Charles - Farewell/Board Meeting and Party will be held at Bob Rinear's home on the third Wednesday of September. The date-time and details will follow. This is always a fun and relaxing evening. The affair is casual, so if you aren't a regular board meeting attendee, try to be there. You are sure to enjoy yourself.
Jane and Dan spoke on membership. So do your job and call the members you are suppose to like I mentioned above.
Our speaker for the week was Ed Matteson from the Wings of Hope Cancer Foundation.
Till next time ................ Lois L. Lane
